The Festival of Vorgartens thrives on exchange — not only between residents, audiences and artists, but also with institutions that contribute their perspectives.
A strong example is the collaboration with Kunstraum Kreuzlingen, where new formats were jointly developed, enriching the festival and expanding its reach.

For the next edition in May 2027, we are looking for further partner institutions working with themes such as gardens, art, architecture or urban planning, and interested in shaping individual aspects of the festival from their own perspective. Cities and villages are also invited to propose their neighbourhoods as festival locations. Where enough front gardens exist, new spaces can emerge — surprising, lively and open to encounters.

The year 2026 will be used to nurture these relationships, build new partnerships and anchor the festival in the long term.
